Stanley Plough, Jr. for Congress
House of Representatives
Missouri District 4
Issues
Health Care:
I will work hard at making health care
more affordable and lower cost to our people. We need lower cost
on prescriptions drugs for people that can't afford them.
Health Insurance:
I think the cost is too high for
medical, dental, etc. We need to lower health insurance most for
those that need insurance. People who can't afford health
insurance should be allowed to receive insurance at no cost.
Health insurance needs to cover more basics for our children and
families. I think there needs to be more Government funds for
assistance for our medical, dental, and eye care programs.
Social Security:
I believe that we need to increase the
benefit amount for those receiving social security benefits. I
think the blind and disabled, and others, should have equal rights to the
sum of what they need to have if there are any changes because of death and
family size.
We need to keep some money in trust
funds and take out payroll takes and put it into a trust fund so they
will still have social security when they retire. We don't want to
see social security taken away. We want to build it and make it
stronger than what it is now.
Education:
For Missourians, these are the keys to
our state's future, and our Government to provide a quality education so
necessary to live prosperous lives. We must continue to support
public education for the future of our children, those who have
dedicated their lives to education of our finest resource and the
eventual future of our country.
Examining pay systems, and providing
the best education materials possible are necessary.
Taxes:
What I have seen is persons wanting to
take no responsibility for the need to support vital programs of our
country, yet to support only the programs which benefit them personally.
If we lose our concern for the provision of poor and deprived of our
country, we have lost our compassion. Yet we need to cut the
amount which people are asked to pay in taxes. To do this,
government must run efficiently at every level. To do this we all
must be watchdogs of the process of all programs.
Special Interests:
An example of catering to special
interests has been the fuel companies making huge profits and member of
congress looking the other way. Yes, there are problems with
shortages, but this should not lead to massive profits for oil
companies. This is only an example of what needs to be changed.
The Right to Bear Arms:
Our rights have always been important
in this country. I believe it is the State's freedom to determine
the concealed weapons system and laws needed to keep those inappropriate
individuals from that program.
Right to Life:
I strongly support the ideal that
abortions are against God's will. There are so many personas who
would like to adopt a child, children who are not allowed the basic
right to live.
